The Legends Mode in Hyrule Warriors is the main story mode. Basically zero stutters and jitters and no jagged 3DS-caliber graphics. Well, that stuff, but also the Switch version looks better and performs better across the board. For the Wii U version, playing it on Switch will feel almost like a brand new game as it basically doubles the included content. Generally speaking the main differences between this and the 3DS version are the neat collection of all DLC and the inclusion of local multiplayer. Depending on which version you played, this new package may or may not have a lot of new additions. Now things get a bit trickier if you played it all the way back four years ago at launch or if you played it a bit on 3DS. The Definitive Edition absolutely includes everything from those two games and more. Make no mistake about it: if you have not played Hyrule Warriors at all, then the Switch version is absolutely the best one and you can basically ignore that it ever came out on Wii U or 3DS. Now, the Switch version is labeled as the вЂњDefinitive EditionвЂќ so itвЂ™s time we break down just what sets it apart and how many differences there actually are between the three editions.

Hyrule Warriors first launched on Wii U all the way back in 2014 (read our review here) with an expanded 3DS version released in 2016. By cramming many of The Legend of ZeldaвЂ™s most popular locations, items, enemies, and characters into a single game, stringing them together with a loose narrative, letting you play as over two dozen iconic heroes and villains, and basing it all off of the core Dynasty Warriors style of gameplay, itвЂ™s truly unlike any other Zelda game ever made.Д«ut the recently released (May 18) Switch version isnвЂ™t the only version of this high-flying action game - itвЂ™s actually the third.
